It shows you all the apps that are running, you check the ones you want to close and it turns them all off when you press the button. Works great! I press the "Home" button to see a list of my currently running applications and I can quickly switch between them. But there's no way that I can shut down an app from here. If there is no "exit", "log out" or "off" button within the app itself, then it keeps running until I turn off the phone. All of those apps that are still running and using up my battery.
