Battery Widget – Check your Droid battery

by DroidGeek on November 25, 2009

The battery on your Droid is the most important function on your phone so we must keep a close eye on the battery level and conserve as much battery as we can. Well guess what, there’s an app for that.

Battery Widget allows you to check your battery level right from the home screen. The 1X1 widget sits on your home screen and displays the percentage level of your battery.

But the app doesn’t just stop there, if you click on the widget you’ll bring up the battery draining culprits: GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and the Display. You will now have the option to turn off any of these functions to conserve the battery.

Do a search for Battery Widget from the Android Market to download this widget for free.

I accidentally dragged my battery widdget to the trash can to relocate it on another page, and when i went to find it again it wasn’t there. How do i get it to reappear on my home screen again. My phone says it’s still installed but i can’t find it. Please help.

Brenda- it’s not an app, it’s a widget. so when you go to add it again, add it from widgets.

I did the same thing as Brenda, but it’s not in the widgets.

The power controls widget, the one that comes with the droid, is better. You can turn off wifi, bluetooth, gps, sync, and change the brightness from one simple bar.
