Kate, if you click on the green box (rdi chart) then click recalculate. You DONT have to change any of your info, just click calculate. It will show the recommended caloric intake. Just backspace and enter your preferred!

Also, morgan is correct in terms of adding a new food with corresponding calories.

I want to customize the RDI. I had my metabolic rate analyzed and would like to enter in that number of calories - not the calculated number they mandate.

to add a new food, if you type in a random word that ISNT in the food database (ex: "huajsiolskdlc") it will tell you that there is no matches found and it offers if you would like to add new food. just click there and you can change the name, add a brand name, a serving size, all the nutritional counts and i THINK you can download a barscan for it too but im not sure.
LOVE this app

Dawn, Rebecca, also wondering how to add my own values in.
Also have noticed sometimes with the barcode scanner the values are different than on the box... Anyone else notice that??

Does anyone know how to pick one of your previously scanned items and add it to different meals without having to rescan again.? If I have Salsa on top of eggs in the morning for breakfast and have it again with another meal I simply want to select it from a previous meal. Thanks very much
