Ebay has finally released an app for Android eBay users. With the eBay app you’ll be able to perform many basic eBay functions like view the status of your auctions, leave feedback, view status updates, voice search, buyer and seller alerts and use PayPal.

Buggy app that doesn’t even have the most important feature i need; the ability to see completed items and tell if they ACTUALLY SOLD or not. On the ebay webpage items that actually sold are in green, those that didn’t sell but just ended are in red. In this app both are blue. Practically useless for me to research with on the road! Then add the fact that refining by category doesn’t work. Very disappointed.
I have no idea what Matt is talking about….I think it’s just like the ebay website and it’s terrific! With the droid for ebay app I previously had downloaded, you couldn’t check your messages and with this one you can…Also, purchased items have a big “paid” stamp over them when they’re paid for, which is useful…
Cathy, I would need to search through completed auctions to be able to decern if I should invest in invatory or if it wont sell. Can you do that with this app? Matt doesn’t seem to think so.
I am happy with my eBay app. On my new Droid BUT I just checked out my friend’s new iPhone eBay app. It has the ability to list just
like the computer! Even has the ability to scan the item if it has a bar code!!! It made me think about going for he iPhone. I hope Droid will get is that app it. Could be a deal breaker!
I just purchased the Droid X and can not search the completed items . I sell on Ebay and need that capability so I know if an item is sellable and at what price. It is a necessity for me to have that option. My LG had an Ebay app and I could do that so why not with the Droid X. I hope someone has the solution and I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
I also noticed that the droid x app does not display the “best offer” option. So if an item has a “buy it now” and “best offer” you can only see the buy it now! I hate that because you can aways get a better deal with the best offer option! I hope that is an update coming soon!
How do you sign out of the ebay app on the droid x? I signed in to check something, but need to sign out (can’t have someone pick up my phone and do what they want bc i’m still signed in) please help!
EBay’s new Droid app is a flop. Can’t refine search function and “nearest” is not an option. Just try to locate a specific vehicle in your neighborhood.
This app is horrible. There’s no feature to submit best offers. It’s very buggy. I suffered a network error that resulted in 2 $300 purchases instead of one. Now ebay is telling me to handle this as if I had intentionally purchased 2 items which may result in an unpaid strike against my account.
I 110% agree with Matt!!! While thankful to have an Ebay app, it could be updated to be more like the app on the iPhone. I NEED to see in the COMPLETEDS what actually SOLD (put it in green or at least a different color) so that I know that is a marketable pricepoint. Also, when I am looking at what I am selling on the SELLING page, add in the number of WATCHERS so I know that info too. That really is not much to ask for.
I would like to picture, list and sell from my droid. Hook it up.
i just downloaded this app.. and i too, want to see completed auctions.. the completed auctions search is very buggy.. it doesn’t even show stuff that i know i sold in teh completed item search.. disappointing… i bought a smart phone for this reason!
Please make it so we can post a picture and sell on ebay. That’s the reason alot of us got the SMART phone…just charge for it we will gladly pay!
Is there an app that would alert via text of new listings? I currently have a saved ebay search that emails me but when I receive the email on my droid x it’s hours later.
Totally agree with matt (feb 6). I used to sell alot from my iphone. and I just assumed it would be just as easy with my new droid X. Totally a joke. I dont want to go to the full version and have to upload my pictures via something like photobucket. Copy html and paste and ect…..ect…….please make it simple and easy. Like the app on the iphone. Please……..Id would gladly pay for it. But free would make it ideal.
The ONLY function I need in an eBay app is the ability to search Completed listings to see what items have SOLD for.
Thus, thanks to all for the heads-up. I won’t be downloading this app. Will stick with the browser, instead. Unwieldy, but it properly differentiates SOLD from UNSOLD.
Wow REALLY !!!!! Why is it that no one will adress the large elephant standing in the middle of room???? The droid Ebay App does not list !!!! So it is useless to me . I’m a seller not a buyer. Is there some monoply between Ebay and Iphone???? What gives? Do I need to pay a extra 80 bucks per month with a Iphone plan just so I can sell on Ebay?? Great Great ! Ebay brought Droid a App almost a year ago!!!!! LETS GO EBAY LET”S GET WITH IT AND OFFER A LISTING APP LIKE YOU DID FOR THE IPHONE!!!!!
Seriously, the Droid ebay app sucks because it does not have the seller’s tools like the iPhone app. My wife’s iPhone ebay app is far superior for this, and other reasons. I am starting to hate my Droid. The apps suck across the board compared to iPhone. I want to go back in time and change my decision and get an iPhone instead of the Droid. Is there an app for that? Seriously, eBay, fix this problem. Get the sellers tools on the eBay app for Droid. COME ON!

I just want to be able to re-list an item after it sold. I sell stock items and I always could re-list with the Blackberry app. If it could function in some way as a seller app it would be great! I know eBay makes money whether I buy or sell from my Droid Charge, so I hope they motivated to make this suitable for sellers.
Still no Best Offer option on Droid X??
