G-backup – Back that Droid up

by DroidGeek on December 1, 2009

Gmail is a wonderful email client and now its even more wonderful because we can use it to back up our data on the Motoral Droid. Upload all your SMS, MMS, videos, pictures and call logs to your Gmail account with “G-backup”. This is a great way to archive your old text message or pictures your may have removed off your SD card.

Once uploaded to Gmail, the uploaded items will look like emails.

Turn this:

g-backup-android-app

Into this:

g-backup-android-app-2

Download the 21 day free trail version of G-backup from the Android Market, and if you like it get the full version for $4.95.

Every app reviewed on http://www.droidapps.org has a QR code. What are we supposed to do with the QR code. Can we take a picture of it and then use that picture to find the app in the Droid Marketplace ??

use the barcode scanner to scan it and then download the app.

I can’t find it! I do the barcode scanner and it searches for it, but the android market comes up and says “there are no matches in android market for the search: pname:pl.polidea.gbackup_trial”
help!!!

Thanks, Thomas. As you can tell, I am a newbie. Caitlin, same thing happened to me. But just go to Marketplace and search on “backup”. There are several good apps.
