Verizon Wireless announced that the Android 2.0 powered Motorola Droid will hit the streets on November 6th which will cost $199.99. But you need to sign a 2 year contract and pay $299.99 upfront then send in a $100 mail-in rebate.
Retailer giant Best Buy (Mobile) said that they are now taking Droid pre-orders, and you only pay $199.99 with no mail-in rebate to mess around with. The $100 rebate will be applied right away when you purchase the Droid.
That’s a pretty sweet deal.
