Geez, they make an ap for anything. I use a droid screen protector from xoskins. You guys should review one.

I was told that giant eagle was able to use the key ring app but is not doing it any more. What is the point of having it if you can’t use it.

Am I the only one who is mildly amused by the fact that this is an app specifically for scanning barcodes, but it lacks a QR Code to download it?

I used it at my Health Club and it wouldn’t work (Boston Sports Clubs). Will need to try it at other locations before I totally give up. An app needs to work consistently or it’s not beneficial. Whoever created this app, it needs to be fixed!!! It’s a great idea, but before sending out any app to the public, it needs to be tested first.

This worked great on my Droid X when I had an ANTI GLARE screen protector. After removing the screen protector, the scan guns could not read it.

just tried mine at cvs and it worked, i have an anti glare protector on my droid x. guy used a scan gun and it worked. will try other stores as i go along but for now i can at least get rid of cvs

Great idea – POOR execution. I scanned all my cards – no problem. Have tried to use them twice – FAILED both times. Scanners won’t read the barcode off my Droid X and yes, I did turn down the screen brightness as told and asked the checkers to scan it for 4-5 inches away as instructed. at both places the checkers tried hard to get it to work because htye thought it was really cool, but in the end, we pulled out the real key ring cards. F – for fail!

So, the real question is, “did real person actually get this app. to perform as advertised in accordance with the applicable tech manual?” just don’t want to waste my time scanning all of my cards, to find that they don’t work on any scanner. I worked for a Grocery chain, and I have scanned some pretty banged up cards and gotten them to read. even ones with “Scotch Tape” on them.
