LauncherPro Beta is a popular home replacement app for Android and today it steps out of “beta” and into premium with LauncherPro Plus.
So what comes with the price of admission? Scrollable widget, People Widget (similar to HTC Sence) for easy access to all your contacts and lots of new widgets in future releases.
These widgets will be added in the upcoming weeks:
- People Widget – Quick access to contacts/favorites/group (included right now)
- Bookmark Widget – Quick access to browser bookmarks
- Friends Widget – View friends status from Twitter and Facebook and update your status
- Calendar/Agenda Widget – View calendar and agenda
- Messaging – View a list of SMS messages
The early bird price for LauncherPro Plus is $2.99 USD and can be downloaded via a Paypal link from their website, http://www.launcherpro.com/.
The app is currently not available from the Android market because Google does not allow paid apps from certain countries.

I’m using the free version of LauncherPro, and so far it’s my favorite. I don’t have much use for the widgets in the paid version of, but I can tell you that the free version looks fine (nothing too fancy, though), has up to 4 dock icons, is fast and responsive, and has plenty of options. If you’re interested in the widgets, I’d say $3 is a perfectly fair price for this home replacement.
the dock actually has up to 15 icons now because it’s scrollable and you can fit five on the screen.
