For those who don’t know the formula for calculating the distance of a lightning storm or just to lazy to do the math this app is for you.
“Lightning” is super simple to use, press a button when you see the lightning bolt, then press another button when you hear the thunder.
The app will crunch the numbers and spit out the distance of a lightning strike so you’ll have a good idea how far away it is. So sound travels at about 1100 feet per sec, and it takes 5 seconds for sound to travel one mile. My brain is starting to hurt. I’ll just let the app do the math.
And as a bonus feature the app also works with fireworks and other explosions (no not farts).
