With the Qik app you can stream live videos from the Droid so friends and family members can be there without actually being there. Stream weddings, baby’s first step, the possibilities are endless. You can also share the videos on your favorite social network like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

About a month ago the developers over at Qik had a private beta testing that allowed Droid users to capture DVD quality videos (720×480). Now they took all the beta testers feedback and the app is now available and ready for mass consumption from the Android Market. Droid users can now choose to shoot in high resolution by going to the Settings.
