Fans of those old classic space invader games like Galaga will really appreciate this game on their Motorola Droid.
Radiant is a side scrolling shooter game with very retro styling, I must admit this look may not be for everyone with those bright neon pixels, but it’s eye candy when compared to those older space invader games.
You play as the character Max Blaster and your out for revenge after aliens destroyed you planet. The game features special weapons, power-ups, upgradeable ship.
Radiant can be downloaded from the Android Market. There’s a paid version and a free lite version.

Truly awesome game. A lot less hardcore than the old classics — as in more balanced, paced down action for a more casual mobile audience — with perfect commands for a mobile game: as it plays widescreen only, just touch the left half of the screen to go left or the right half to go right. It comes with auto-shooting and plenty of nice weapon upgrades.
It’s also finely crafted with inside in-jokes and references to the classics: Asteroids, Space Invaders, Galaga, Defender and Gradius.
I’m playing the Lite version but it’s already my favorite game on the Droid, bar none. Will buy the full version soon enough…
